CDM/JI Project Cycle Review
ELEGIBLE PROJECT CRITERIA
Does the potential technology meet the following conditions?
-
A proven technology, although not necessarily active in the host country;
-
An established and commercially feasible technology, although not necessarily in the host country; and
-
A replicable technology and/or one that can effectively be transferred to the host country.
In relation to the question above:
-
Is the project acceptable to the host country and does it conform to the sustainable development requirements in the host country?
-
Are the emission reductions of the project additional to any that would occur in its absence?
Does the project result in unacceptable negative impacts on the environment?
In general, it should be expected that any project that has the potential for some negative environmental impacts will need to have an environmental impact assessment.
